On the left — my very first sculpture.
Made years ago, when I was young, unfocused, and had no real idea where I was heading. I took my father’s old, blunt chisel, went down to the basement, and let pure imagination take over. That piece was carved for my girlfriend at the time — who is now my wife.
After that… for many years, I barely carved anything at all.
On the right — a sailor carved today, casually, while waiting for the potatoes to cook for dinner. Same hands, different life, more patience, more calm.
Looking at them side by side, I think I can see the journey.
And yes — I see progress.
Peace, love, Skål
